Roebeck Retreat is a well-regarded holiday cottage, appreciated for its comfort, cleanliness, and peaceful location. Guests have praised the property's modern amenities and the relaxing environment it offers. While some minor maintenance issues and the lack of Wi-Fi have been noted, the overall experience remains positive with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, though there are instances of hair on the floor and dirty windows upon arrival. The presence of ants was also mentioned, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
The location is described as peaceful and relaxing with beautiful views, although some guests found the directions and signage lacking. The remote nature of the property is appreciated by many, but the unmade roads and difficulty in finding the property slightly detract from the score.
Guests find the property comfortable and the beds satisfactory, but there are comments about creaking headboards and a small double bedroom. The warmth and cosiness of the property are noted, although some guests mentioned issues with hot nights and early sunlight.
The property is well-equipped, but several reviews mention a need for better maintenance, such as fixing loose flooring, bath seals, and door hinges. The lack of Wi-Fi and a small TV are recurring points of feedback. The presence of modern kitchen amenities is a plus.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Didnât realise there was no hair dryer either. The seat on the toilet was wonky and several light bulbs had fused. Didnât try the radio or the dvd player, so canât comment on those. I felt that as it was a large estate it would have been useful to know whether the accommodation was in the south/north/east. Took us a couple of circuits to find.

I think it would be considerate if you mentioned the park rules for people before booking. The house is listed as âfamily friendlyâ. Upon arrival we read the rules for the park which state that children are not to make a ânuisance of themselves by not playing football or riding bikesâ. If we had known this, we probably would have looked elsewhere considering we have two young energetic children. The house itself is nice and plenty of kitchen utensils etc, just a shame about the rules that were not shared prior to arriving.
