Guests say

Castle Cottage is a charming and spotlessly clean property with character, conveniently located for local amenities and attractions. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the garden, and the property's overall standard. Some guests noted issues with Wi-Fi and mattress comfort, but these were not universal concerns. The cottage's central location means some traffic noise, but this did not significantly impact the overall positive experience.

Guests consistently praised the property for its spotless condition, with no reports of cleanliness issues. The property is maintained to a high standard, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The cottage's central location in Carisbrooke is appreciated for its convenience to local businesses and attractions. However, some guests noted traffic noise due to its position on the high street, which may affect those sensitive to sound.

The comfort of the property received mixed reviews. While some guests found the bed hard and the seating upright, others were satisfied with the mattress and the property's overall comfort. The presence of a garden and the cleanliness contribute positively to the comfort level.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and a pleasant garden. However, there were some concerns about the lack of Wi-Fi contrary to the advertisement, issues with hot water, and difficulties with the TV remote. These issues suggest room for improvement in maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. As such, guests should not expect additional thoughtful gestures as standard.

The cottage is small but cosy and an ideal base to explore the island. Would highly recommend.

Only thing i would say, that we would have been happier if there was a warning about the stairs. we both have problems with back and leg pains. The narrowness of the stairs caused us a problem, especially the top of the stairs between the bedroom and the bathroom. Parking is a problem, there is a car park by the Co-op shop. cost me about £40 to park for a few hours the day, and £2 over night from 18.00 -08.00 for the week.

Its central location in Carisbrooke makes all other areas easily accessible. Communication with the owner was friendly and charming. As we will make twice-yearly research trips and loved our stay at the cottage so much, we have booked again for February. That should tell you everything. Highest recommendation.
