Station Avenue is a stylish Victorian home situated in the coastal town of Sandown on the Isle of Wight. This pet-friendly abode welcomes friends, couples, and up to 2 dogs, and is just a short stroll from a golden stretch of beach and amenities. With high ceilings, beams, and spacious rooms, Station Avenue makes an idyllic base. Step inside to the entrance hallway, from here locate the sitting rooms, where you can unwind on the plush sofas as the TV plays your favourite shows. Stepping through the home, the contemporary kitchen has all the mod cons to prepare home-cooked meals, which can be enjoyed together in the dining room over a glass of wine. Carry the conversation outside to the rear patio; here you can relax on the furniture and relish the sea-air. As night draws in, head indoors and escape into a book in the sitting room before indulging in a bath on the first floor. The first-floor hosts four well-presented bedrooms, with three doubles and a twin bedroom, all with storage to house your belongings. A short stroll will lead you to Sandown Beach, where you can sunbathe and paddle; nearby is a great selection of eateries to fuel the exciting day ahead. Wander along the pier, see much loved animals at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, Isle of Wight or test your swing at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club. Visit the quaint town of Shanklin, rich in culture with Shanklin Theatre and home to beautiful walks, including the leafy Shanklin Chine and Shanklin Beach for a hike. For a bustling High Street, venture to the county town of Newport, which is dotted with an array of shops to suit all budgets, as well as a lovely meandering river through the Quay Arts Centre to enjoy an ice cream. For a group getaway you're sure to remember, choose Station Avenue.
Situated on the south east coast of the island, this lovely town has something for everyone! It is home to the longest stretch of beach on the island, extending six miles from the chalk headland of Culver Cliff in the north, to Dunnose Head in the south. This glorious expanse of sand provides excellent bathing, and facilities for all kinds of watersports. Blackgang Chine is perfect for the young and young at heart, with attractions such as the Hall of Funny Mirrors, Giant Hedge Maze and a 100m fast boat slide. The Shanklin Chine is also well worth a visit, with its dramatic waterfalls and deeply shaded paths. Loads of room and even toys for the kids which was a great bonus. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The hot tub was used everyday and needed after all the walking which we all did. The beds were very comfortable and a great nights sleep was had by all. I simply loved this house. The only downside was the water pressure of the showers. But in the scheme of things this is the only negative. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who has a large family. We was there with 4 generations and it was perfect.
