2 Hope Cottages is a charming and well-liked property, praised for its cleanliness, superb location in St Helens, and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the characterful and cosy atmosphere, the well-equipped kitchen, and the delightful garden with a summer house. While some guests mention minor issues with comfort and maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with only a few isolated comments about specific areas needing attention. The positive remarks about cleanliness suggest a high standard is typically maintained.
The location is highly praised for its convenience, proximity to local shops, pubs, and the beach, as well as the lovely views and village atmosphere. The presence of a bus stop nearby is also appreciated, making it an ideal base for exploring.
Comfort receives a good rating, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the property cosy. However, some guests noted issues with the sofa bed and the stairs, which could affect the comfort level for some visitors.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen and bathroom. However, there are comments about the need for refurbishment and minor maintenance issues, such as a dripping tap and ventilation concerns, which slightly lower the score.
