Positioned in the seaside town of Ventnor, Isle of Wight, just moments away from a sloping beach, is this pleasant home, Willow Cottage. Enjoying a raised garden and a patio area to bask in the sun, this two-bedroom cottage makes for an idyllic getaway for a family or four friends. On arrival, leave your vehicle in the off-road parking space before following the set of stairs, which will lead you to the entrance of your holiday home. Enter the property, where you will have hangers to look after your jackets and a sitting room with sumptuous sofas to kick back and relax after your journey. Flick through the TV to catch-up on your favourite shows and when stomachs begin to rumble, step through to the kitchen/diner to make use of the electric oven and hob. The compact kitchen/diner offers a dining table and chairs, so you can enjoy family time together, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer to keep the space tidy. When the sun is shining, carry the conversation outdoors onto the patio and why not uncork a bottle to savour a glass of wine as you unwind? As the evening cools, retire inside and climb upstairs for hot rinse in the contemporary shower room before climbing into your pyjamas. When sleeps calls, choose between two bedrooms, a double and a bunk bedroom, both with storage to house your personal belongings. Begin the day with a home-cooked breakfast, courtesy of the kitchen appliances, as coffee is poured, and plans are made. A short stroll will lead you to a sandy, shingle beach, where you can escape into the pages of a book, admire the vintage beach huts, and afterwards explore the seafront cafes and arcades. Sporting enthusiasts can test their swing at Ventnor Golf Club, whilst the romantics can tour beautiful Botanical gardens for a quaint picnic. For a day filled with fun, visit the bustling town of Newport; here you can see rescued animals at Monkey Haven and immerse yourself in the past at Carisbrooke Castle and Museum of Island History. Also worth a visit, is the seaport town of Cowes, home to Cowes Maritime Museum to learn about ships, the Red Squirrel Trail for a scenic walk and Thorness bay to soak in the coastal sights. For a wonderful escape to Isle of Wight, choose Willow Cottage.
The small Victorian beach resort of Ventnor is located on the island's southern tip and is reached by a series of steep curving roads surrounded by stunning landscape. This lovely hamlet, which is sheltered by St. Boniface Down, one of the island's highest points and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has a peculiar mild micro climate that allows tropical and exotic species to thrive. The gradually sloping sandy and fine shingle beaches and bays offer excellent watersports facilities as well as a variety of beautiful coastal pathways to explore, while the harbour serves a wide variety of fresh fish and locally caught seafood.

Noise from anti damp fan in the kitchen on 24/7 hence rather annoying. Poor lighting for reading in the lounge.Bathroom ,bedrooms decor good. Kitchen well equipped but needs a new frying so that the base is flat on the hob to cook properly. Garden sitting area good with plenty of seating. Property felt cold and damp when we arrived ,no subsidiary heating onlybthe central heating. Great base for exploring Isle of Wight and lots of info leaflets .

We stayed, as a family for three nights, but wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage soon felt like a home, rather than just a base. It was very comfortable to live in and attention to detail was well thought through by the owners. It was really clean and well maintained. This was clearly monitored regularly. Communication with the owners was spot on. The garden is also nice and plants are well looked after. The beach is a 10 min walk away and on the beach is a nice pub with good food, recommended by the vendor in the informative welcome pack. There is also a nice beachside restaurant which is popular. Lots of attractions and places to visit are near by. I have already recommended Willow cottage to friends and will return if we return to the Isle of Wight.
