Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Old Post Office for its homely charm, spaciousness, and well-equipped nature, making it ideal for families and groups. The enchanting garden and the inclusion of modern comforts within a property full of character add to the appeal. The warm welcome by the owner is frequently mentioned, enhancing the stay.

The property is generally described as clean, with specific mentions of a 'spotless' house. However, there are isolated comments about the garden needing attention and some outdoor furniture requiring cleaning, slightly affecting the score.

The location is appreciated for its proximity to beaches and local attractions, with good access for walks. However, some guests noted traffic noise and a lack of tranquillity due to speeding vehicles, which impacts the score.

Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the beds comfy and the property cosy. The presence of a wood burner and the layout providing space for socialising or privacy contribute to a comfortable experience.

Facilities are abundant and well-received, with two kitchens and a variety of appliances. However, there are remarks about clutter, an overgrown garden, and maintenance issues like a non-working dishwasher, which suggest room for improvement.

The owner's thoughtfulness is evident, with guests noting the provision of basic provisions and pet-friendly touches. While gifts are appreciated, they are personal gestures and may vary with each stay.

We were met by the owner on arrival, who gave us a quick tour of the house. It's quite a quirky property, with a sitting room and kitchen on both floors, which makes it all the more interesting. Everything worked as it should and the beds were all comfortable. It's in a good location for exploring Kent and has nice countryside walks right outside its door. Would happily stay there again.

It exceeded our expectations. So thoughtfully laid out with everything we could possibly want or need at our fingertips. The owners were very accommodating seeing as it was a last minute booking because the landlord of the property we had booked had forgotten to put the key into the keysafe and had switched off his phone and didn't check emails. We were so grateful for the old post office taking us in at the 11th hour. I highly recommend the property.

Wonderful woodland garden for toddler and dogs. Accommodation relaxed and comfortable. Will book again and recommend to friends. Owners greeted us and made sure we knew how everything worked. A wonderful holiday.
