This spacious property is perfect for a couple or a solo traveller to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the Kent countryside. It is located just outside the charming village of Pluckley, which is believed to be one of the most haunted villages in Kent, but also famous for the TV series, The Darling Buds of May. It is a great area for walking and cycling, and the local pub, The Rose and Crown, in Mundy Bois can be reached on foot in just under a mile. Slightly further afield (1.4 miles) is The Dering Arms, which specialises in seafood and serves a traditional as well as tapas menu. There is local shopping in the village store and at the Pluckley Farm Shop. Dering Woods (1 mile) is an ancient semi-natural woodland and is a nature lover’s dream with an amazing array of plants and wildlife. Further afield, Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens is 9 miles away, or visit Leeds Castle (12 miles). For local wines, ciders, and apple juice, pop over to Biddenden Vineyards (8 miles) for a tour and tasting.
This property is in the owner’s garden, next to their barn, but enjoys its own patio and garden space. The front door opens into the spacious open plan living room and dining area and is dominated by a 65’ Smart TV. Settle back into the sumptuous, curved sofa with reclining chairs at each end and curl up and watch your favourite movie after an enjoyable day out. There is also a velvet chair and footstool, perfect for a quiet read, and a dining table with chairs in front of the bifolding doors opening out into the lovely garden with far reaching countryside views. The kitchen has fitted units and is well equipped for preparing meals, and even has a dual air fryer. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a large rainfall shower head over a bath and WC. Upstairs, you will find the bedroom with a king-size bed, shuttered windows and great views. There is a built-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers, and a full-length mirror.
Step out the front door and in to the garden, where you will find a rattan lounge set with a coffee table on the patio. There is also a table and chairs for outside dining, and a Weber charcoal BBQ, perfect for enjoying the tranquil garden setting. Your garden area and the owner’s garden share a gate and are linked. This property has a dedicated off road electric vehicle charger available at no extra charge to guests. It is a 7 pin, 3kw, tethered charger.
