This charming end-of-terrace cottage is in the picturesque coastal town of Whitstable, nestled in a convenient spot, just a stroll away from the renowned pebble beaches, seafood eateries, and vibrant shops. It offers an ideal base for families or couples to explore the town's rich maritime history and enjoy the beauty of the Kentish coastline. It has a working harbour with a fish market and an Oyster festival every September. For keen walkers and cyclists there are scenic coastal footpaths and the Crab and Winkle Way to explore. There is a sailing club, open to non-members, and the beach is gently shelving, ideal for paddling or swimming. The town has an array of live music venues, art galleries and a castle and further afield a day trip to Canterbury or Faversham, both 8.5 miles away, offer further opportunities for culture and sightseeing. The property is 0.5 miles on foot from the train station.
Formally a florist shop in the late 19th century, this inviting holiday home combines modern comfort with traditional charm. The cottage boasts a well-appointed kitchen, a spacious open-plan living and dining area, and a garden perfect for relaxation. There is a small porch for hanging coats and storing boots then straight into the contemporary open-plan area which is bright and well furnished with two large sofas, one of which is a sofa-bed and an armchair. There is a Smart TV and occasional tables for drinks and a bookshelf, well stocked with books and games. There is a dining table with seating for six. The kitchen is well-equipped for food preparation if you’re eating in and there is a stable door which opens out into the garden. The bedrooms are upstairs. Bedroom one has a double bed, with a chest of drawers and a hanging rail. Bedroom two has single beds, a chest of drawers and hanging space. The modern bathroom is on the ground floor and is tiled and has a bath with shower over and a hand-held attachment, washbasin, and WC.
Outside, there is a decked area with planted boarders with a colourful dining set and a sunshade. There is a right of way access from the back gate across the rear of the cottage to a separate apartment above the property.
Mr Willcox
Lovely comfortable cottage centrally located in Whitstable, very easy walk to the high street and sea front.
Mr Bridge
Brilliant location - however the property is looking and feeling tired - some simple alterations/decorating would make a big difference
