Guests say

Fishermans Cottage in Whitstable is praised for its excellent location, close to the harbour and shops, with private parking. The property has character and is well-stocked, with recent updates to the bathroom and kitchen. However, some guests noted areas needing a deep clean and maintenance, particularly the outdoor space and some interior aspects.

Guests have mentioned that frequently used areas were clean, but a deep clean is needed in less visible areas, such as under furniture. Some guests found the sofa covers and stair carpet dirty, and one mentioned having to bleach mugs before use.

The cottage's location is consistently praised for being a stone's throw from the harbour and shops, with the convenience of private parking and easy access to local attractions.

The property is described as comfortable with a cosy lounge and pleasant dining room. However, some guests found issues with the comfort of the bathroom fittings and the living room being cold.

The property has been noted to have a well-stocked kitchen and a new bathroom. However, there are comments about the need for maintenance, such as fixing the DVD player and improving the outdoor seating area.

While some guests appreciated the character and coastal accents of the cottage, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

Everything clean and tidy. Bathroom being downstairs and away from the bedrooms , a little inconvenient, but we knew about that in advance and not a big deal really. Only tiny thing we would add would be a teapot, being avid tea lovers that we are!

Everything we needed was provided, but we would have appreciated a local OS map, as we brought our bikes and struggled to find our way around just with phones. We did try and buy one, but with no success.
