A holiday cottage with a difference! Arcadia is a fascinating conversion of a pair of High Victorian Gothic chapels designed by Thomas Talbot Bury, a noted pupil of Pugin, built around 1870. The two main chapels are linked by a cloistered reception hall where the main entrance, and door to the garden are located. The master bedroom, built on a mezzanine floor, features stained glass windows and a free standing roll top bath.
The large open plan sitting/dining room is comprised of one of the twin chapels in its entirety, and has full length stained glass windows and a high vaulted ceiling as well as the original chapel organ. With a 50 inch flat screen television, large leather sofas and a long oak dining table, this room lends itself to being an excellent quirky entertaining space.
Outside, the garden features a pond with fountain, gravel walkways and lawned area with loungers, table and chairs. Arcadia is to be found within Charlton cemetery, nestling beneath the impressive Dover Castle.

Sitting/Dining room: Large oak dining table and 6 chairs, 2 large leather settees (1 with sofa bed), coffee table, 50 inch flat screen TV with freeview & DVD player. The original chapel organ is featured in the chancel at the far end of the room. The large, open-plan room has a high vaulted ceiling, and wooden flooring throughout.
Kitchen: Washer/dryer, electric fan oven, gas hob, larder fridge & separate freezer, toaster, microwave.
Bedroom 2: Double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, mirror
Bathroom: Shower, WC, basin with granite surround.
