An ideal location for keen walkers who can take advantage of the numerous footpaths that lead straight from the front door and crisscross the beautiful countryside, passing through villages and surrounding farmland. The market town of Tenterden is close by and offers a range of independent boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants and is also home to the award winning Chapel Down Vineyard (15 miles) and Kent & East Sussex Railway (12.5 miles). For a step back in time, hop aboard the steam train and take a trip through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to Bodiam Castle which is at the end of the line. Enter the cottage through the front door into a welcoming hallway where there is space for dropping off coats and boots before heading into the kitchen, which is truly the heart of the cottage. The kitchen area has all the equipment you need, including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a washer/dryer. Enjoy a morning coffee at the breakfast bar with two stools, or for more formal entertaining, the dining room is located just off the kitchen with a large oak table and seating for eight. The light and bright lounge is also located just off the kitchen and provides spectacular views across the Kent countryside. Curl up on the comfortable corner sofa in front of the open fire and while away an afternoon with a good book or catch up on your favourite programmes on the TV. Stairs from the kitchen lead up to the first floor where there is a charming double bedroom with a TV and stunning countryside views to wake up to. On this floor, you will also find the family bathroom with its sumptuous freestanding bath, walk in shower, and WC. A further set of stairs takes you up into the eaves of the cottage where you will find a lovely twin bedroom with far reaching views across the Kent countryside and beyond. Heading outside, there is a patio table and chairs for enjoying outside dining. There is private parking for two cars.
