Guests say

Fisherman's Cottage in Ramsgate is praised for its fabulous location and cleanliness, with guests appreciating the comfortable beds and neatness. The property is well-equipped and responses from the owners are prompt. However, the steep stairs are a common concern, and the living space may feel cramped for larger groups. Parking can be challenging.

Reviews consistently mention the property being 'beautifully clean' and 'neat and tidy', indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is repeatedly described as 'great' and 'amazing', with convenient access to local amenities, though parking difficulties have been noted.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the property lovely, but the living space is considered small for larger groups, affecting overall comfort.

Facilities like smart TVs and well-equipped bathrooms are appreciated, but issues with maintenance and steep stairs have been raised.

While guests were pleasantly surprised by thoughtful touches like a dog bed, there's insufficient information to assess consistency or guarantee of such gestures.

About this property

This stylish fisherman’s cottage is situated in the pretty town of Ramsgate, close to the beach and within walking distance of the country’s only Royal Harbour (100 metres). The beautiful harbour has a vibrant yachting community alongside many shops, bars and restaurants, making it a great place to while away an afternoon. Keen walkers can take a stroll along the Viking Coastal Trail which runs from Ramsgate around the Kent coastline to Herne Bay. The route takes in the pretty town of Margate (5 miles) with its famous Turner Contemporary Gallery and Dreamland Theme Park; and Broadstairs, known for being Charles Dickens’ favourite holiday spot, where visitors can learn more about the author at the Dickens House Museum. For a spot of retail therapy, visit Westwood Cross (2 miles), one of Europe’s largest retail parks.

The front door of this period cottage opens into a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with two comfortable sofas making it a great place to relax and unwind in front of the Smart TV after a busy day out. The stylish kitchen is separated from the lounge by a breakfast bar with stools, lending itself to getting the whole family together for mealtimes or just enjoying a morning coffee. The well-equipped kitchen offers everything you will need for whipping up a delicious evening meal or a light lunch. The ground floor is completed with a shower room and WC. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the first two bedrooms, a double and a single, and a shower room with WC. Stairs from the first-floor landing lead up to the second floor where there is a king-size bedroom. The final bedroom is accessed from the lounge via a set of stairs leading to the lower-ground floor. Here you will find a king-size room with an en-suite WC. All bedrooms are fitted with Smart TVs.

Please note that the staircases are steep and narrow and may not be suitable for the less mobile.

French doors from the kitchen lead out to a small courtyard area where there is a bistro table and chairs – perfect for enjoying a morning coffee.

Lovely property, stairs a bit tight but manageable. Nice location with plenty of everything nearby.

Lovely cottage in great location. Very well equipped but the living space is on the small side, there is nowhere to hang coats or put shoes when you come in.

Lovely cottage, great location. Bedrooms great, comfortable beds. Stairs are steep but exactly as in the information. Beautiful area. Grassy area nearby perfect for walking the dog. Waitrose very nearby for food shopping.
