Church Cottage is in a great, quiet location, overlooking the beautiful Parish Church of St Mary’s. The property is small (no washing machine but has dishwasher) but ample size for one person or a couple as it has a King sized bed, (I found the mattress a little hard for my liking but it is personal taste). It’s an easy 5 minute walk into town, with a selection of places to eat. There is much to see and do in this lovely part of the land including some circular walks from the cottage door step. Church Cottage fitted our needs for a long weekend and we are happy to recommend it.

Excellent cottage so cosy and so British. Good location in the city center. Important activity of the church next door, hence the occasional difficulties of parking.

We are HBP bond holders We are HP Bondholders but booked through Cotswold Hideaway. We are grateful for their welcome treats also for their prompt resolution to a small electrical problem, an electrician arrived the next day and also supplied two addition tea plates! Our weather was varied but we enjoyed Batsford Arboretum on a fine sunny day with good snacks in the cafe. On a more unsettled day we tool shelter in a warm at the Slaughters inn by a fire and enjoyed an excellent lunch. We also enjoyed a local walk to a very accessible theatre/cinema to see the latest Poirot film. Thank you for the logs, kindling and matches, making for a cosy stay in this well appointed cottage.
