The Old Stable is highly praised for its immaculate condition, modern amenities, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches like milk and chocolates. While located on a working farm, the rural charm adds to the experience, though some noted the presence of flies and difficulty in accessing walks directly from the property.
Reviews consistently mention the property being spotless and exceptionally clean, with only a minor comment about dust. The high standard of cleanliness is frequently highlighted.
The property's location is appreciated for its quiet, rural setting and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests noted the challenges of accessing the property from the main road and the need to use a car for local walks.
Guests find the beds super comfy and the living spaces warm and cosy, thanks to underfloor heating. A few suggested additional rugs and lamps for extra cosiness, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The property is well-furnished with modern conveniences and a well-equipped kitchen. Some guests suggested minor improvements like a guest book, non-slip mat for the shower, and manuals for appliances. The presence of flies due to the farm setting was also mentioned.
Many guests were delighted by the thoughtful gestures of the hosts, such as providing milk and chocolates upon arrival. While these gifts are warmly received, it is politely noted that such offerings are not guaranteed for every stay.

Located on the north bank of the Thames, about five miles from Oxford and on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, lies the thriving village of Eynsham. The city's history may be traced back to the Bronze Age. The town contains a general grocery, a few dive pubs, and a family butcher, so it's got all the basics covered. Canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, golfing, and fishing are just some of the outdoor pursuits that may be accessed from the hamlet. Oxford is the oldest university city in England and is known as "The City of Dreaming Spires" due to the many spires that make up the city. The city is home to 38 colleges affiliated with the university as well as the Bodleian Library, Botanic Gardens, museums, and a number of festivals and markets throughout the year. In any given area of the city, you could recognise a location from a recent film or TV show if you keep your eyes alert. Explore the city's many historic sites, shops, and pubs on foot, or take a boat trip down the Thames or the Cherwell. Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill, is a short drive away; the palace and its surrounding gardens were created by the renowned landscape architect Capability Brown, and the nearby town of Woodstock is a quaint and charming World Heritage Site. Close by is the charming town of Henley on Thames, site of the annual Royal Regatta. Family-friendly day trips may be had in any of the three towns of Warwickshire: Stratford upon Avon, home to Shakespeare's birthplace; Warwick, with its magnificent castle; and Royal Leamington Spa. Not really very dog friendly although was told it was a working farm. Owners very friendly and helpful

The property is located on a farm ( even though itâs located very close to the A40 ) so many expectations could be had, we visited during a period when the cattle were still out in the fields but if they were in the barn then you would only be 20 mtrs from their location with all the nuances that would entail. The property itself is very well appointed and provides all the facilities you would require when catering for yourself, excellent shower facilities and very comfortable bed.Eynsham and Witney are the closest amenities where all services can be found, Peartree P&R is currently the closest should you want to visit Oxford, however the new P&R at Eynsham ( fully constructed but not accessible as of Sept 24 ) will be only 2 -3 miles away when fully operational.

Games and jigsaws etc. available, big tv screen. Well equiped although we missed a wooden spoon to stir in the pans. What we also missed was manuals: the little book provided a lot of information, but it took us a long time to figure out that the hot water for the upstairs shower and sink was also coming from the switch for the heating downstairs. And things like microwaves are different everywhere, so yes....some manuals would help. The house looked clean when entering, but was rather dusty. And the bed was not as big as we expected from the description unfortunately, but the matras was good!! Everything was well thought through though, (coasters near the bedside tables etc.), the "landlord" (we think the real owner was on holiday) was very friendly and helpful (brilliant tip about parking and the busses to Oxford!) and we had no noise or problems at all from the nextdoor attached house or from the farm. All in all a really nice experience.
