Woodmancote Lodge is frequently described as a cosy and peaceful retreat, ideal for countryside lovers and those seeking a break from city life. Guests appreciate the welcoming hosts, the clean and well-maintained accommodation, and the added luxury of a sauna. The surrounding nature, complete with wildlife and scenic walks, contributes to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The majority of guests have praised the cleanliness of the lodge, noting it as very clean and well-kept. However, a few mentioned issues with dead flies and cobwebs, and one report of dog hairs, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity, beautiful countryside, and proximity to nature reserves and walking paths. It's considered perfect for guests looking to enjoy the outdoors and peaceful surroundings.
Guests find the lodge cosy and the beds comfortable, contributing to a restful stay. Some concerns were raised about space for families and the need for a blind on the skylight, which affects the score slightly.
The sauna is a highlight for many guests, and the lodge is generally well-equipped. However, there are comments about inadequate cooking facilities, a lack of storage, and minor maintenance issues, which suggests room for improvement.
Several guests were delighted by thoughtful touches such as a welcome cake and mulled wine. While these gestures are appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may not be a consistent experience for all guests.

Great location and very clean. Lovely, quiet and private lodge. The host was lovely. Lots of wildlife. We stayed a Woodmancote Lodge for our trip to The Goodwood Festival of Speed and booked for a great price, however when looking to book the lodge again for next year, the price was considerably higher and unfortunately out of our price range , which is sad because we definitely would have booked again.
