About this property

Boasting far reaching countryside views, Lower Farm Barn is the ideal Rural Retreat for guests wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life to enjoy peace and quiet.

Built as a shooting lodge, guests have exclusive access to Lower Farm Barn. Tastefully furnished to ensure each part of this spacious sitting room retains a cosy atmosphere. Bright, modern artwork hangs from the walls, drawing your eyes up to the breath-taking oak framework.

The stunning views towards Walbury Hill are equally matched by the exquisite exposed oak framed vaulted ceiling, which runs through the huge, open-plan living area. The modern, well-equipped kitchen boasts stone worktops, a range cooker and central island - perfect for cooking a romantic meal together. A beautiful solid oak staircase in the kitchen leads you to the mezzanine bedroom with a super-king size bed and en-suite shower room.

Outside, the courtyard has a bistro table where you can enjoy an al fresco meal, and for those cooler evenings relax by the firepit.

Situated in the peaceful village of Combe, the bustling market town of Hungerford, famed for its antiques is just 6 miles away; while pretty Marlborough is just a 30 minute drive; and historic and beautiful Winchester, 25 miles away.

Katherine and David were brilliant hosts and were so welcoming. The large welcome hamper was excellent and very much appreciated. The Barn was amazing and had the wow factor, although cold at first as the instructions within the guide booklet were a little misleading. The setting made for a peaceful short break and we would return.
