The convenience of the property so close to the main town is a bonus and the road relatively quiet apart from early morning bin collections. The lack of freezer was disappointing it’s no good saying that it was removed because it was broken it should have been replaced. We didn’t need washing/drying facilities but the siting of them in the outhouse was not attractive. Why isn’t there iron and ironing board? I know that electronic info is now order of the day but a hard copy of important information regarding facilities would have been helpful. Although the weather was not great the garden wasn’t attractive enough for us to want to sit outside.

Great location, on a quiet street, but only minutes from lots of handy shops. The cottage was really comfortable and pretty and we enjoyed having coffee on the sunny little terrace in the back garden. Lovely to be able to walk from the cottage along the river to the quay at the Quomps, and explore the castle ruins. Particular highlights were hiring sea kayaks from the nearby SUP School, having a cocktail in Dirty Gerties on their terrace below the castle, to swimming at our favourite and beautiful beach near Highcliffe Castle (a short drive away). Mickey was so helpful before and during our stay, and advising on parking and places to visit. A really perfect week!

Conservatory area needs a good bottoming though. (Obviously seen better days.) Garden a trip/slip problem and needs sorting out. Garden furniture uncomfortable and one of chairs was broken. We were very grateful that Mickey sorted resident's parking out for us.
