It was clean and tidy and catered for most things you need as a family. There was no grill pan and very few baking trays to cook with, the fridge was extremely small for the size of the property and freezer had a draw missing, also the WiFi was very intermittent and kept dropping out which was annoying at times. This would be the perfect property and location if it wasnât for the neighbours. We travelled as a family of 7 (3 children) to celebrate our eldests birthday. We were all playing UNO as a family at 7pm and having a great time when the neighbour shouted down to us to keep the noise down, followed by a very loud bang at the door where we were welcomed by a mob of people shouting at us advising that the terms of staying at the property states you have to be silent after 8.30pm. They were very rude and it wasnât even 8.30pm and I canât see this anywhere in the t&cs;. They are all clearly on a WhatsApp group and seemed very disgruntled that this property was a holiday let. They called the owner of the property who called me and advised we needed to keep the noise down, we were having a game of UNO! I explained the circumstances but the owner insisted that he has known his neighbours for 4 years and they are not rude and disregarded our comments. The lady was swearing at us whilst our children were present and was clearly unhappy of our presence. This pretty much ruined our break. The location of the property is close to some shops and pubs but most bars and restaurants wouldnât allow children after 9pm, so bare this in mind when booking. We also decided to go out on the Tuesday for the day, we closed the door without double locking the property, we just pulled the door closed, when we arrived in the evening the door was doubled locked causing us concerns that someone had entered the property when we were out. We had only noticed this as we had a discussion when leaving the property before going out about double locking it. Overall itâs a real shame as this is a really nice property but we wouldnât return following our experience.
