The cosmopolitan city of Bristol is 8 miles away, with fantastic shopping, a wide range of restaurants, several museums, a theatre, galleries, arts centres, an aquarium, and even a zoo. You will find a wide selection of activities nearby, including cycling, kayaking, rowing and sailing. A little further afield, yet within 20 miles, is the picturesque scenery of Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wells which is the smallest cathedral city in England, and the tranquil lakes of the Chew Valley.
