Abalone is a well-fitted cottage in Bude, Cornwall, appreciated for its lovely setting and relaxing environment. Guests have enjoyed the good kitchen equipment and helpful staff. The property's charm and the beauty of the surrounding area have been noted, although some attention to maintenance and additional considerations for dog owners and safety have been suggested.
The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While not explicitly mentioned by all, one review highlighted the presence of fluff, hair, and dust, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
There is no specific information provided in the reviews regarding the location's convenience or attractiveness, hence a score cannot be accurately given.
The accommodation is generally considered lovely and relaxing, indicating a good level of comfort. However, concerns about safety with the steps and the overgrown ivy suggest that comfort could be enhanced.
Facilities are well-regarded, particularly the kitchen equipment. Nonetheless, reports of a non-functioning shower and maintenance issues like mould, cracks, and overgrown ivy indicate that some facilities require attention.
No reviews mention gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category. It should be noted that while gifts can be a delightful surprise, they are not guaranteed.

Quiet. Country walks close by. Great for dogs. Very pleasant team.

The two steps down from the bedroom are very dangerous in the dark. A nightlight on the steps would be useful. Non stick frying pans should be provided. Why were all of the instructions on the living room TV in German ? Also there were many ordinary channels missing. Where was GB News for instance ? Our garden table and chairs were missing when we arrived.
Peter
Shower had mould and cracks in the seal, and no anti slip on tray. Kitchen cupboard doors need adjustment and trim on one cabinet was hanging off
