The Shippon in Cornwall offers a comfortable and spacious stay with well-equipped kitchens, clean rooms, and friendly owners. Guests enjoy the rural charm, proximity to beaches, and the working farm experience. Some concerns about flies and water pressure are noted, but overall, the property provides a peaceful retreat with beautiful countryside views.
Guests consistently describe the property as clean and tidy, with fresh bedding and no dirt found. The high level of cleanliness contributes positively to their experience.
The property's rural setting is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to beaches, though some guests find the narrow access roads challenging and the location somewhat isolated.
The majority of guests find the beds comfortable and the living areas spacious. However, a few mention that the mattresses could be improved and that the water pressure affects shower comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and ample space. Points are deducted for issues with water pressure, the need for better fly control measures, and some minor maintenance concerns.
While guests mention a welcoming experience and some reference a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures such as gifts, and therefore a score cannot be provided.

All of the space and equipment we needed. The only issue we had was that there seemed to be no water pressure in amy of the showers. Also one shower had no hot water.

There was an area outside to sit and eat. There were gardens and a play area too. The property owners were friendly and helpful. Although it was part of a working farm it was relatively peaceful and set in the beautiful Cornish countryside. We enjoyed our stay very much and so did the dog. We would definitely visit again and recommend.

I guess you have to expect that being on a farm..... The other problem was not having an area where you could open the door and let the dog out and know he was safe. the back garden is open onto other cottages and the farm. Smaller issue the toilet seat in the front bedroom ensuite, kept falling apart, not helpful at 3 o'clock in the morning! Otherwise house was adequate.
