Guests say

Guests have found Byre to be a charming and cosy cottage set in picturesque grounds, offering a peaceful environment and a good base for exploring Cornwall. The property is appreciated for its comfort, well-equipped kitchen, and spacious living areas, though some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests reported the need for a thorough cleaning and issues with appliances, while others found it spotlessly clean. This suggests inconsistency in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its quiet, peaceful setting and proximity to local attractions and amenities in Camelford, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Comfort levels are generally high, with mentions of a cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, some guests experienced issues with a soft mattress and the condition of the floor, indicating room for improvement.

Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and garden space, but there are several reports of maintenance issues such as a non-working toaster, leaking fridge, and outdated games room equipment.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Spacious, comfortable and really well equipped. We had a brilliant time. The kids also loved the garden space allowing them an area to play safely whilst being able to see the sheep.

Peace & quiet before exploring the wonders of Cornwall & relaxing following a strenuous day. Highly recommendable. As a non driver maybe a little arduous on the footsies but this site is second to none in my experience, everything first class. Top marks with credit. James Avenell
