… Little Pengelly Farm, in Trenwheal hamlet, is tucked along a pretty country lane amid rolling fields, yet within easy reach of sandy beaches. We let two cottages here. The owners run a little seasonal tea room serving splendid cream teas, homemade cakes and local crab. Beyond the cottages is a big field, just right for ball games and letting off steam, and you are welcome to wander the orchard (bee hives). Large barn for storing wetsuits, surfboards, bicycles etc. A wonderful, rural base from which to explore west Cornwall and the delights of its north and south coasts.
The New Barn: a pretty stone-built detached cottage, south-facing with lovely countryside views. Own enclosed garden with small lawn and patio (picnic bench), just right for enjoying an alfresco glass of something chilled and the peace and quiet. Inside, all on one level and bright and airy with high ceiling to the apex and oak floors throughout. Fitted kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave). Comfortable living room with woodburner, TV/DVD, iPod dock, sofa and double sofa bed. Double bedroom (5’ bed) with views over fields. Shower-room (suite).
