… with stunning views of the River Fal, just above the little road that leads to the King Harry Ferry (quiet clunk-clunk chain link) in Feock, this charming detached cottage, previously a ferryman’s cottage, is in one of the most beautiful spots in Cornwall, near Trelissick Gardens and the coastal nature walk (both Nat Trust). Small motor boat, kayaks and water transport provided free of charge Easter to October (by arrangement, subject to weather and experience) for exploring the river and its network of creeks.
Driveway to parking area and large, enclosed patio with south-facing, log cabin-style summerhouse (river views, table/chairs, barbecue). Entrance to cottage from patio; living rooms at this level, bedrooms downstairs. Porch (freezer) for boots/coats, wetsuits. Welcoming hall through to comfortable living room with coal-effect electric fire, TV/DVD and large bay window (wonderful views across the Fal Estuary); country-style kitchen/dining room with central table/chairs, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave; bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Downstairs, three bedrooms – a double (5’ bed, TV/DVD), a twin, and a room with 3’ bunks. A delightful cottage at any time of year, convenient for walking, exploring, beaching or simply relaxing.
