Guests say

Creekside House in Fowey, Cornwall, is a well-loved property praised for its stunning location, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests have enjoyed the beautiful views, the friendly owner, and the thoughtful touch of fresh asparagus from the garden. Some concerns were raised about dampness in the downstairs rooms and restrictive check-in/out times.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score for this category.

The location is consistently described as stunning, superb, and special, with easy access to the river and nearby towns via water taxi. The views and the busy marina add to the charm of the location.

The property is praised for its comfortable beds and homely feel. However, some guests mentioned dampness in the downstairs rooms, which suggests a slight discomfort for some.

The house is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and suitable for large family groups. The availability of boats and water sports equipment is a plus. However, the non-functioning patio doors and the dampness issue in some rooms indicate room for improvement in maintenance.

The owner's friendliness and provision of fresh asparagus from the garden are thoughtful gestures. However, it should be noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed.

Great location overlooking the marina. To sit and watch the busy river traffic in the sunshine was great. Water taxi into Fowey or Polruan an added bonus. Owners were really helpful with requests which made for a great stay.

Loads to do and see for everyone, we had paddleboards, kayaks and hired a boat, which was delivered to our pontoon. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for big family meals. The gardener who came to cut the lawn was lovely. We were very happy with our choice and would love to come back again.

It had everything that we needed to ensure a relaxing stay. The owner was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed - including fresh asparagus from the garden. Unfortunately during our stay the main glass patio doors in the living room did not open which was a shame as we would have liked to be able to hear the river and enjoy the views a little more. Only small critique (the house really was lovely) was the downstairs rooms - mainly the children’s room felt a little damp. Given the age and location of the property I don’t believe there is anything that can be done about this, we just made sure we kept it well ventilated. We would 100% come back and would recommend a stay!
