The village of Lizard is situated on the Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly point in mainland England. Lizard offers a village green, small shops, a pub and cafes, with Lizard Lighthouse being the oldest mainland light in Cornwall. Lizard Peninsula is surrounded on three sides by the sea, with the fourth by the still waters of the Helford River, and boasts many golden beaches, cliff tops and coastal villages.
