Guests say

Gweek House is a charming property set in a peaceful Cornish village, praised for its stunning gardens and proximity to local attractions. Guests have enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, cosy log burner, and the thoughtful touches such as a welcome hamper. The property's location is ideal for exploring Southern Cornwall and its beautiful beaches.

Several reviews mention a musty smell, mould on curtains, and windows that could not be opened, indicating issues with cleanliness. However, not all reviews mention this, suggesting that experiences may vary.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to beaches, and local amenities like the village shop and pub. It's also noted as a perfect base for exploring Southern Cornwall.

The house is described as cosy and comfortable, with a log burner and thoughtful touches that make it feel like a home away from home. However, the presence of damp and mould may affect comfort for some guests.

The property is well-equipped with a kitchen, utility room, and garden furniture. However, some guests noted issues with maintenance such as mould, unkempt garden furniture, and the need to use a Karcher window cleaner for condensation.

Guests appreciated the welcome hamper and special touches like dog beds and local information. While these gestures are highly valued, it is noted that such personal touches may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Welcome hamper and card was a lovely touch. Would really reccommend Gweek House. Having somewhere to leave our dogs while we went out for a meal was an unexpected pleasure. Would book again .

Our experience with booking through Sykes Cottages was dreadful. We have been renting for more than 30 years and Sykes Cottages was by far the worst company to deal with. We will never book through Sykes Cottages again. I will not be recommending Sykes to our friends.
