Little Leighs cottage in Cornwall receives high praise for its idyllic setting, warm and comfortable ambiance, and the welcoming hosts, Jules and Nick. Guests enjoy the tranquil location, the proximity to tourist destinations, and the delightful interactions with the animals, including alpacas. The property is well-suited for families and pet owners, offering a play area, outdoor seating, and a homely feel. The hosts' knowledge of the area and thoughtful touches, such as a scrumptious cake and fresh eggs, contribute to a memorable stay.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with one review specifically noting it as 'absolutely immaculate'. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness maintained by the hosts.
The location is praised for being peaceful, quiet, and close to less crowded beaches and tourist destinations. It serves as a perfect base for exploring North and South Cornwall, indicating a highly desirable location.
Guests find the cottage to be warm, comfortable, and a 'home' from home, with cosy evenings by the log burner. The property provides a comfortable environment for relaxation and family time.
The facilities are well-received, with mentions of a play area, outdoor seating, and a variety of animals to interact with. However, one suggestion for improvement was the addition of a dishwasher, indicating that while facilities are great, there is room for enhancement.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of a cake and fresh eggs upon arrival, as well as their readiness to share local knowledge. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it should be noted that such personal touches, though common, may vary with each stay.
The identical twin of its sister cottage Pond Meadow, Litlle Leighs is ideal for couples and families seeking a relaxing holiday in this popular part of Cornwall. This pretty converted barn offers so much to see and do, both onsite and nearby. The cosy living area is open plan and features handsome exposed beams and a wood burning stove where you can relax on the sofa and watch a film at the end of your busy day. The kitchen is well equipped and there's a lovely dining space for enjoying meals with your group. There are three good sized bedrooms, a double and two twin rooms, one of which is on the ground floor meaning that this cottage may be suitable for those who are less mobile. Outside is an enclosed suntrap seating area - perfect for dining al fresco, a hand of cards or a glass of wine in the evening. You are of course welcome to use and explore all of the wonderful facilities that Trenannick has to offer. Quiet yet close to beaches, Little Leighs is an ideal spot for a memorable holiday. The surrounding woodland has a network of footpaths to enjoy and the coast, leading on to Crackington Haven and north to Bude, is just 6 miles away. Could be improved with a dishwasher in the kitchen, otherwise everything was there.

Lots of places within 30 drive. The Napoleon and the Cobweb pubs in Boscastle are great places to eat and drink. Owners Nick and Jules are lovely folk and very helpful.
