Guests say

Guests have enjoyed the stunning views, privacy, and homely feel of the lodge, with special mentions of the hot tub and the property's cleanliness. The location is praised for its proximity to local attractions. Some minor issues with outdoor furniture and maintenance were noted, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experiences.

The lodge is generally described as clean and well-presented, with several guests highlighting its spotlessness. However, a few reviews mentioned areas that could benefit from additional cleaning, such as the decking glass and shower room, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for its breathtaking countryside views and proximity to local sites like Golitha Falls and St Ives. The peacefulness and privacy of the location have been appreciated by many guests.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, with good quality furniture and beds. Some guests mentioned issues with bed comfort and outdoor furniture cushions, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

The facilities, especially the hot tub, are well-received, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as the hot tub temperature, washer dryer, and kitchen utensils. Outdoor furniture maintenance and storage for cushions are also areas for improvement.

While the reviews reflect positive experiences and mention a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to determine the consistency of thoughtful gestures like gifts. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will be provided.

Well kept and generally comfortable. Fabulous location and the team were friendly and helpful: The smallest improvements come with the temperatures. The radiators did not get hot and even despite someone from maintenance coming to check it was too cool in the mornings and late evenings. (Luckily the weather was mild) The hot tub was lovely, but a small net to help clean out the bits from the trees would have been a helpful addition too. Overall we would return and defiantly recommend

The lodge itself, looked very tired in places; curtains in the master bedroom were badly stained and mouldy across the bottom. The washer dryer wouldnt dry the towels, which in October was vital and the beer fridge appeared to not work, and no chopping boards provided in the kitchen. The outside bushes down the side of the property, outside the main bedroom window, was so over grown, it made it nearly impossible to open and ventilate the room. Also the bushes surrounding the properties driveway badly needed trimming too, as this made it very difficult to get in and out of the car without it scratching the doors. The pictures on the website desperately need up dating as they definitely do not give a true picture. And to finish it off, we had unexpected visitors walking past the property at the bottom of the garden, at the back of the property, looking into the main living area, which also gave us no privacy when using the hot tub!

Amazing countrside views from the back of the lodge and we were lucky to have such wonderful weather, several mornings we saw a fantastic sunrise while sat in bed it was just fabulous. The hot tub was lovely and a good size , just the right temperature and maintenence man came and checked it every day. The only negative I had was the utensils in the kitchen, i love cooking and the knives and scissors were blunt and the tin opener was horrendous I couldn't get it to work, other than that the accommodation was fantastic and I would definitely stay again.
