Guests say

No. 1 The Heathers in Liskeard, Cornwall, is a well-situated cottage offering a comfortable and homely stay. Guests appreciate the updated bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The surrounding area is praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with a stream adding to the relaxing atmosphere. While some guests encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the majority found the cottage welcoming and would recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage clean and tidy, while others reported issues with dust, odours, and general cleanliness. The property seems to be well-kept by some accounts, but there are notable instances where cleanliness did not meet expectations.

The location is generally praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions and amenities. It serves as a good base for exploring Cornwall, with easy access to towns like Looe and Falmouth. The remote setting by a stream is highlighted as a positive feature.

Comfort is a strong point for many guests, with comfortable beds and a homely feel mentioned frequently. However, some guests noted issues with heating and the need for summer-appropriate bedding, slightly affecting the overall comfort score.

Facilities are well-regarded in terms of kitchen equipment and the updated bathroom. However, maintenance issues such as broken blinds, toilet seats, and difficulty with WiFi connectivity have been noted, indicating room for improvement in this area.

While the reviews reflect that the owners are considerate, providing a well-equipped kitchen and other amenities, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

The property was clean and tidy, the kitchen was well equipped and everything worked, the bathroom was well fitted out the walk in shower is a nice touch and worked well, the lounge was comfortable a good TV plenty of channels to choose from all in all a comfortable place to stay the area is very quiet which was a perfect location for me, there was a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival 10/10

The kitchen is a disgrace. We wanted a house with a bath, for we do not have one at home, but the bathroom was (very nicely) redone and had now only a shower. The wifi was terrible, we could hardly keep in touch with our loved ones. There is no place to sit outside, there is no sun around the house and only two small, uncomfortable chairs.
