Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the lodge's comfort, new furniture, and attentive staff. The hot tub and privacy are highlights, with many guests enjoying the peaceful setting and returning for multiple stays. The Old Mill restaurant adds to the experience, and the property's location is central to local attractions. Some guests mention minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights, but these do not detract from the overall positive feedback.

While many guests found the lodge clean and well-prepared, there were several mentions of cleanliness issues such as dust, a stained pillowcase, and the need for a more thorough cleaning before settling in. These instances suggest room for improvement, but the overall impression remains positive.

The lodge's location is praised for its tranquillity and picturesque setting. It is described as central to local attractions like Looe, Polperro, and Fowey, making it an ideal base for exploring. The peaceful environment contributes to a relaxing stay.

Guests frequently compliment the lodge's comfortable beds and sofas, and the overall homely feel. However, there were a couple of remarks about uncomfortable sofas and a bedroom being too warm due to a towel rail, slightly affecting the score.

The lodge is well-equipped and offers a hot tub, which is a highlight for many guests. However, there are several reports of maintenance issues such as problems with the hot tub, dishwasher, and exterior doors. The Old Mill restaurant is a valued facility, but its closure at times has impacted guests' experiences.

There are mentions of thoughtful touches like a bottle of prosecco for an anniversary, but as these gestures are not consistently referenced across the reviews, it is not possible to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while such gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.

Double bed mattress not comfortable needs replacing. Nice thick towels, Some cooking utensils are not of a good quality and very bendy. Nice spaces between each plot the valley view is some what lost amongst the trees and the Lakes are hidden behind the under growth..The on site Old Mill Restaurant food is excellent but customer service very disappointing Needs to sorted by its management team big issues while we were on site.

Fantastic welcome from Sally, Martha and the team with rose petals on the bed, bubbly in the kitchen and a lovely card for our Wedding Anniversary. Staff at the Bistro were also fantastic with a great selection of meals and drinks available. The only thing Stonerush Lakesneeds now is a small on site shop selling essentials such as milk, bread, etc.
