Guests say

Pam's Place in Newquay is a well-regarded holiday lodge, praised for its cleanliness, high standard of maintenance, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack. Guests have enjoyed the peaceful location and the convenience of nearby attractions. The lodge is described as a home from home, offering a comfortable and luxurious stay. Some minor issues were noted, but overall, the property is highly recommended by visitors.

The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests noting it as spotless and well-maintained. However, one review mentioned unironed linen and a full vacuum cleaner, slightly lowering the score.

While the reviews are positive about the location, there are no specific details that allow for a precise score. The property's proximity to attractions and the peacefulness of the area are appreciated.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, likening it to a home from home. The only detractor is a mention of a sofa bed that was less comfortable for extended seating.

Facilities are generally well-received, with good TVs and a well-maintained kitchen. However, some guests noted the lack of an information booklet for appliance use and Wi-Fi, and one mentioned cleanliness issues with kitchen pots.

The thoughtfulness of the host is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating welcome gifts and the provision of extras. It should be noted that such personal touches, while common, are not guaranteed.

About this property

Pams Place, a delightful abode for a family or group of friends looking to explore the coast of Cornwall is nestled into the rural outskirts of the seaside town of Crantock, on a tranquil holiday park. Be welcomed into this stylish lodge to discover a lovely open-plan living space with seas of natural light drawn in from the patio doors, which can be thrown open in the warmer months to let in the countryside air. Here guests can make the most of the kitchen space and cook up a storm, dining together at the dining table before settling into the tasteful sitting area and enjoying a movie marathon in the warmth of the electric fire stove. Alternatively, head out onto the tranquil decking and enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage as you reflect on the day’s adventures. The property benefits from a shower room, and there are two bedrooms to choose between, including a double with en-suite cloakroom and a twin, both with storage for your belongings. Crantock is a delightful Cornish town, with a handful of local eateries and pubs, including Old Albion Inn, The Offbeat Bar & Kitchen and Ocean Diner, so guests can enjoy a hearty meal out before stocking up on essentials at the local store. Spend a day beside the seaside, enjoying watersports wild swimming or sunbathing on the sand at the beautiful Crantock Beach, reachable via a path from the property and which has links to stunning coastal walk passing through an abundance of scenic locations, including Penpol Bridge, Pontire Point West, Kelsey Head and Holywell Bay. Spend a day exploring the bustling seaside town of Newquay, where there us a local museum, boating lake, Trenance Gardens, an aquarium, a golf course, and watersports opportunities for an action-packed afternoon. From here, visit Trevose Head Heritage Coast, enjoying the scenery on offer. All of this and so much more with a stay at the delightful Pams Place.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.

The fenced area was great for the dogs to be outside as needed and the provision of throws for covering the furniture was a great addition. The large sofa is actually a sofa bed, so not great comfort for any lengthy seating. Unfortunately, the biggest area that needs addressing is the toilet area. The radiator being next to the toilet was covered in urine stains along with a couple of the kitchen pots that still had burnt food inside, hence the low cleanliness score.

Pam’s Place is up there with, in our opinion, some of the best. The property was very clean when we arrived and the lovely welcome gift was kind. There is nothing that we needed which wasn’t already thought of in the caravan. Trevella is a beautiful caravan park (we have stayed there before) but having Pam’s Place tucked away was an additional bonus. Perfectly situated with 5 minutes drive into Newquay and a 10 minute drive into Perranporth (which we love) was ideal. The beautiful Gannel walk was a first and it did not disappoint. Crantock, whilst very small and quiet, is beautifully picturesque and worth the walk into with one of the best beaches in Cornwall to offer. Thank you Pam’s Place for being the perfect spot to explore and chill out in too (or hide from the rain). We will definitely be back again - perhaps with out dog next time who would love the walks that there are to offer near by. Booking and contact before holiday was just perfect, not too much and kept informed along the way. Thank you.
