About this property

Beautifully refurbished and settled into a quaint street of Victorian terraced houses, the top floor boasts views over Mounts Bay to the sea and St Michael's Mount. Just a short walk to the harbour where you can book a day trip to the Isles of Scilly or just enjoy watching the boats coming and going. Enjoy the open-plan living area where a stylish sitting room offers you, comfortable modern seating and a smart TV. The kitchen boasts contemporary furniture, housing loads of great amenities to help out with cooking a hearty family meal, which guests can enjoy at the dining table, making this a wonderful little social hub for everyone to enjoy. Freshen up in the bathroom, enjoying a soak amongst the bubbles, before settling into one of the two bedrooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, both with tasteful décor, storage for your belongings and the second-floor king boasts Velux windows, roof beams and views across Mount’s Bay and St Michael’s Mount. There is also a wonderful study on the first floor, ideal for remote workers. The town centre of Penzance is just a short walk from the property, so head out into this beautiful seaside town to discover a picturesque harbour and a whole host of pubs, eateries and independent stores for guests to browse at their leisure. Dining options include The Singing Rooster, Hellys Bistro and the Old Lifeboat House Bistro, ideal for indulging in a heart-warming meal out. Tours to the Isle of Scilly can be embarked on from the harbour, and there are also several small beaches where you can take in the salty air. Penzance has convenience stores for your essentials and is within reach of several lovely gardens and historical sites, for example Trewideden Gardens, Carn Euny Ancient Village and Lanyon Quoit. Days beside the seaside can be spent at one of the many beaches, for example Lamorna Cove Beach and Sennen beach, ideal for watersports, wild swimming or simply enjoying the view with a picnic, and there is also the option to explore the beautiful seaside town of St Ives. Avid hikers will simply love the many trails threaded through the stunning scenery of the Penwith Heritage Coast, with options including Chun Downs Nature Reserve, Bartinney Nature Reserve, Trenow Cove and the Holy Well of St Madron, plus many more scenic locations just waiting to be discovered. All of this and so much more with a stay at The Lookout.

Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival are all held in Penzance,  one of Cornwall's most popular destinations for holidays. The coastline conceals a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves, as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. The National Trust's breathtakingly gorgeous St. Michael's Mount, with its hilltop fortress and Mediterranean gardens, is connected by a causeway to the sea at Marazion. When the tide is low, you can stroll over and then ride one of the ferry boats back. Penzance is the starting point for day cruises to the Isles of Scilly, and it has meandering alleyways, shops, bars, restaurants, and a picturesque harbour for guests to explore. The South West Coast Path, which travels through Penzance on its route to Land's End, winds along the clifftops, and is ideal for scenic walks, and along the way, pause in the lovely Lamorna Cove for a coffee and a rest, tour the outdoor Minack Theatre, and take in the cliff views as you get closer to Gwennap Head. Penzance is the ideal location for experiencing this country of Celtic lore and tradition, with so much on offer for guests to explore.
