Longrock 2.9 miles. The Piggery is a detached, granite cottage settled into the town of Castle Gate near Longrock. With a close by beach and pretty surroundings, this characterful abode is an ideal base for a couple looking to explore the coast and countryside of Cornwall. Be welcomed into a delightful open-plan living space with tall ceilings, wooden beams, and a light and airy atmosphere. Here you can cook up a storm in the well-fitted kitchen, before heading over to the dining space to enjoy a romantic meal for two, complemented by a glass of fizz. The sitting area encourages guests to grab a coffee and a good book to relax after a long day of exploring the local area. Freshen up in the shower room, before cosying up for the night in the charming double bedroom, with wooden feature walls and storage for your belongings. In southwest Cornwall, Long Rock is a village situated between Penzance and Marazion, stretching around Mount's Bay. It's name comes from the long rock, usually surrounded by sea beyond the beach of Long Rock. The village offers a shop, post office, and two pubs, as well as a retail park for all the essentials. Long Rock Beach is sandy and favoured by the locals, swimming is safe and it's a popular spot for wind-surfing too. Perfect for bringing your pup to have a run-around, the beach is dog-friendly all year round so you can enjoy it any time of year. Head over to nearby Penzance or Marazion to explore this beautiful coastline further.
