After a hearty meal, take your favourite tipple over to the comfortable sofa and curl up for the evening in front of your favourite show on the TV with DVD player and Amazon Firestick. Soothe tired muscles with a blissful soak in the bath or refreshing rinse in the shower as you prepare for bed. Next stop is the bustling town of Newquay, home to the Blue Reef Aquarium, a fantastic selection of beaches, adventure golf, the Newquay Golf Club, and the superb Newquay Zoo which is situated in the picturesque Trenance Park. For a taste of city life, head to Truro, where you can marvel at the imposing Gothic cathedral, wander the exhibits of the Royal Cornwall Museum or embark on a two-footed adventure through the Coosebean Woodland Enchanted Nature Trail. As Winston Graham resided in Perranporth in the 1930s, the town became the location for his novels about the Poldark family. Traditional pubs and shops, a bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in the summer, rugged rocks, and a magnificent coastal path make Perranporth a popular destination for beachgoers of all ages. With abandoned pump houses, mine shafts, and workers' cottages, the village retains remnants of its illustrious history as the source of the finest tin. Both the Blue Hills Museum and the Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are excellent places to learn about the intriguing history of this coastal area.
