Settled in the heart of West Yorkshire, a short distance away from the bustling market town of Shipley, rests the Victorian model village of Saltaire. Aptly named after its founder, Sir Titus Salt, a textile entrepreneur who made his fortune in the industry in Bradford, and the River Aire in which Sir Salt built a textile mill nearby, the village was created with the purpose to relocate his business and employees. Decorated with spectacular Italianate architecture and boasting a rich history, Saltaire has since been recognised as a World Heritage Site, and is home to a collection of local amenities and attractions that welcome visitors, including a plethora of eateries, shopping opportunities and art galleries to name a few. Serviced by a train station, the nearby towns of Shipley and Baildon are both within easy reach, where guests can find a wider variety of amenities, or keep entertained with a round of golf or a scenic stroll along the Aire Sculpture Trail. The bustling city of Bradford rests slightly further afield, home to Bradford Industrial Museum, the National Science and Media Museum and the historic Alhambra Theatre, and if you time it right, you might even catch the magical water symphony at City Park Mirror Pool and Fountain. Saltaire makes an idyllic base from which to explore the delights of West Yorkshire.

The hot tub was perfect and the extra towels were an unexpected bonus, but a folding airer would have been beneficial. The only issue we had was with the doors, which have appeared to have dropped making them difficult to open and close smoothly. The sheep were extremely friendly and made eating outside even more fun. By far the most wonderful moment was the open countryside and dark skies which allowed us to capture the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) above the property on the first night.

The cabin was spotless and had some very cute touches to it. As for the view, breathtaking. Would highly recommend staying here.
