Guests say

Guests consistently praise the property for its cleanliness, stunning views, and peaceful setting. The hot tub is frequently highlighted as a highlight, offering relaxation and enjoyment even in inclement weather. The host, Liz, is commended for her hospitality and thoughtfulness. While one review mentions a rash from the hot tub, this is an isolated complaint in an otherwise glowing set of reviews.

The property is repeatedly described as clean and well-presented, with multiple reviews affirming its high standard of cleanliness. One isolated complaint about a rash potentially linked to the hot tub slightly affects the score.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views, peaceful countryside setting, and proximity to nature and wildlife. It is described as a perfect getaway with stunning views from the room.

Guests find the property comfortable, with mentions of a cosy pod, good quality equipment, and furnishings. The provision of ample toilet rolls and milk adds to the comfort. A suggestion for more coat hanging space indicates a minor area for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the hot tub, which is a consistent favourite among guests. However, one report of a rash and a suggestion for additional lighting near the hot tub indicate room for improvement in maintenance and facilities.

The host's thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome tea and coffee and the provision of milk in the fridge. While these gestures are well-received, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed.

Saltash is dominated by the magnificent Tamar Bridge, Brunel’s masterpiece of engineering taking people from Devon to Cornwall across the Tamar River, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Saltash retains much of its old Cornish charm with narrow streets rising steeply from the banks of the river, and plenty of shops and interesting inns. From the old quayside there are river trips up stream to Calstock, a pretty village with white cottages on a steep hillside. Here, the 120 foot giant 11-arched Calstock Railway Viaduct towers above the River Tamar and carries one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines down to the coast. Saltash offers some beautiful walks along the Tamar, and is only a five minute drive from Plymouth, with a plenty to occupy visitors including the historic Barbican quayside area with cafes, shops and bistros, the National Marine Aquarium and several theatres. A perfect base for exploring the area along the beautiful River Tamar.

The pod itself is well equipped with everything you need and the hotel tub is a great touch. The views waking up in the morning are outstanding, couldn't have asked for anymore. We will be back to stay again :)
