Sam is a fantastic single-story glamping pod on the grounds of the Polgooth Inn, a popular bar in the historic village of Polgooth in Cornwall. Sam welcomes two guests and offers a convenient location within easy reach of local attractions, amenities, and the beach, making it the ideal setting for a romantic or active getaway; it is also close to the 'Eden' cycle trails, superb golf courses, and the most beautiful Cornish coastline walks. Inside, find the contemporary open-plan living space, which includes a kitchenette, dining area, and a plush sofa and TV, to make simple meals, dine, and relax. Head outside to watch the sunset while the barbecue is lit, then retire to the double bed, which is set up in a studio-style, making the most of the inviting space. After a refreshing shower in the sleek shower room, grab your walking boots and head to the coast. Make Sam your home-away-from-home for your next trip to Cornwall. Porlock is a quaint village, popular with tourists due its character, proximity to the lovely North Somerset coastline and situation within the Exmoor National Park. There are plenty of little gift shops along with pubs, cafes and restaurants to be found and only two miles away, the picturesque harbour of Porlock Weir offers wonderful views across the Bristol Channel. The Porlock Hill takes travelers up a steep, winding road out of the village to the Exmoor Hills, where walkers, horse riders and cyclists will love the open space, where ponies and red deer roam the moors. In 2011, Exmoor was designated as Europe’s first International Dark Skies Reserve, and so this is an excellent base for a romantic evening spent gazing at the stars, where a clear night unveils an abundance of interesting constellations to the naked eye. Porlock offers the choice of sea fishing from the weir, and the reservoirs and rivers of Exmoor are only a short, scenic drive away. Golfers can stay in Porlock and enjoy one of the several courses on the edges of Exmoor, with the nearest only seven miles away. The medieval village of Dunster, where the castle dominates the skyline, makes a great day out, or take a ride on the West Somerset steam train along the coast to the little harbour village of Watchet. A fabulous village location with lots of outdoor pursuits to interest every visitor.

The location in the grounds of the pub was great. Also as a base for touring and visiting areas around Cornwall was ideal.Overall nothing to complain about or fault. Just one thought that would have been handy for us and maybe other dog owners is a gate that could be fitted on the entrance to the pods so our dog could have a little roam around without worrying about him getting out into car park. This is not a complaint just maybe a suggestion. Thank you very much, would definitely recommend and we may well return. Steve,Jane & Albe

Also it would have helped if the garden area was fenced off so we could have let the dog out of the pod. The food in the Inn was wonderful and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Lots of lovely walks in the area, we had a lovely relaxing time.
Samantha
The pod was well equipped, spotlessly clean and super comfortable. Perfect location for exploring Cornwall. We canât wait to return.
