Lamorna in Port Isaac is a well-located cottage appreciated for its layout and sociable living spaces. Guests enjoyed the comfortable furnishings and the property's proximity to local amenities. While some guests encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the overall experience was positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Several guests reported cleanliness issues, including dust, mould, and dirty floors, which significantly impacted their stay. The feedback suggests that the cleaning service may not be meeting expectations.

The cottage's location is highly praised for being ideal, with easy access to the harbour, restaurants, and shops. Parking was noted as a challenge, which is common in Port Isaac.

Guests found the beds comfortable and the living spaces conducive to socialising. However, some mentioned that the house was cold upon arrival and that the pillows were too hard, slightly detracting from the overall comfort.

The property is well-equipped with smart TVs and a BBQ provided by the owner. However, guests noted several maintenance issues, such as broken door handles and a lack of normal TV reception, which affected their experience.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Location is perfect with just a short walk down the hill to the harbour. Restaurants and lovely shops all in walking distance. Our only concern is the parking situation which seems to be a problem for all of Port Isaac. We went as a family of seven with two cars and parking was a struggle at times.

There is lots of snagging and unsightly things - horrendous mould problem, damp walls, broken door handles, decking to the main door is slippery. The main feedback I’d give the owner is - if you’re paying a cleaner/care taker, they are not doing what you’re paying for. The house was not clean/dusted. The floors dont seem to get mopped, our infant walked around for a matter of minutes on arrival and his hands and feet were black! There is thick dust everywhere, huge dusty cobwebs (been there some time!), mould - worst in the top right front bedroom. I have taken lots of photos for the owner. The inside of the oven and microwave were revolting - we couldn’t use them it was disgusting. Even the cushions on the dining chairs were unclean. The house was so dusty it had 2 hayfever sufferers sneezing constantly - only in the house though, We found the fireplace surround and the fact the doors to the conservatory dont lock a hazard for our infant. Only sofa seats for 5 or 6 max when property sleeps up to 10. Meant 2 of us were on hard dining chairs every night. The beds were super comfy and decent bedding & towels provided. You could get passed the snagging but Cleanliness really lets this property down.
