The pretty village of Port Isaac has become recognisable to many as the fictional town of Port Wenn, in the TV series Doc Martin. Walk the narrow streets lined with traditional, white-washed fisherman’s cottages, sit on the Platt and watch the fishing boats come and go, or take a boat trip out to sea and along the coastline. If you are a keen walker then head out along the South West Coast Path, a route that runs for miles in both directions along the coast towards Tintagel to the east and Polzeath to the west. Polzeath Beach is an award-winning beach that has some great conditions for surfing but if surfing isn’t your cup of tea then you can head around the corner to the more sheltered New Polzeath Beach. Discover the beauty of North Cornwall with a stay at Sea Glimpses.

Resting on the glorious Cornish coastline within a steep sided valley rests the charming fishing village of Port Isaac. Home to a handful of delicious eateries and well-stocked shops, Port Isaac has much to offer its visitors. Cleanliness is marked down as the work surfaces were dirty. I used sanitiser/antiviral wipes and the cloths were filthy. Also the floors were worse, we always take our shoes off at the door, our feet & socks were black with dirt, absolutely black. The information pack says the property will be cleaned & sanitised before our arrival. This is definitely not true. I do not expect to clean floors or work tops before I can start my holiday. Also the bins around the back of the property were blocked by bags & bags of rubbish piled up. No way could you get to the bins for the sea glimpes this way. We had to get in by going in the roped off area and climbing over a wall.

The cottage has everything you need and is in a great location. Private car parking is also a major plus in the village. We've been loads of times as a family and have booked again for next year.
