The beds were very comfortable and good size, the rooms were good sizes, the wash basin in the en-suite was really only a small hand wash basin. The main family bathroom was large with good size bathroom fittings. Loved the open plan and all furniture was good standard & comfy. The chalet was very warm (the weather was quite wet, damp & cold at times) but we very rarely had to put the heating on as the chalet stayed, warm, cosy & comfy. It was a great base & well situated for exploring & walking. The owners were friendly & very accommodating to our needs.

Bide-a-while is a delightful lodge in a perfect, quiet location; you can actually walk to the beach (albeit on minor roads) which we did numerous times. It was clean, well presented and had everything we needed including two great bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. There’s a lovely field out the back so plenty of space and somewhere to hang out the washing too - always such a bonus. We loved our stay and will definitely be back, it’s our favourite holiday let in Cornwall ever. I couldn’t write in the visitor book as I didn’t have a pen - sorry.

A very well-equipped lodge, carefully considered and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for exploring Cornwall's many surfing beaches, as well as the quaint towns of Padstow and Port Isaac. Lots of things to do locally - a week wasn't long enough to see it all! Definitely recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. Also a great spot for children to explore with a lovely big shared garden, and an adventure theme park just up the road.
