Guests consistently praise Aquamarine for its stunning views, high-tech amenities, and homely comfort. The property's cleanliness and modern facilities receive commendations, while thoughtful touches like welcome packs add to the experience. Its proximity to Carbis Bay and ease of access to St Ives via train are also appreciated, making it a highly recommended stay.
Reviews frequently highlight the property's cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'spotless' and 'immaculate'. One mention of a dirty oven and grill pan suggests a minor lapse, but overall, the standard of cleanliness appears to be very high.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views of Carbis Bay, proximity to St Ives, and convenient access to the train station. Guests appreciate the scenic walks and the ease of exploring local attractions from this spot.
Guests find the apartment very comfortable, with modern furnishings and a homely atmosphere. The provision of entertainment options and the quality of the beds are noted, although one guest suggested a preference for a larger bed.
The property's facilities, including high-tech entertainment systems and well-equipped kitchens, are well-received. However, some guests noted the absence of bathroom hooks and shower trays, and one mentioned outdated bedding, indicating room for improvement.
Many guests mention and appreciate the thoughtful welcome packs, which include items such as cream teas and wine. While these gestures are warmly received, it's important to note that such gifts are a delightful bonus and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
Watching the ever changing colours of the sea from the balcony at Aquamarine is an excellent way to relax and unwind. Set above one of Cornwall’s most beautiful stretches of coastline the views from this luxury beach retreat is hard to beat. Sleeping four, and within walking distance of the beach, South West coastal path and attractions of St. Ives Aquamarine, is ideal for any small family or couple. The lounge opens to the infinity glass balcony with table and chairs affording uninterrupted spectacular views over the beach from Porthminster Point to Carrack Gladden (or Hawkes Point), all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse. Recline into one of the two comfortable sofas and enjoy the entertainment package on the Smart TV with Sonos Playbar. The spacious dining area is part of the open plan living area, it comfortably seats 4 people. Open the patio doors, listen to the waves and wonder at the dramatic views across St. Ives Bay. To the rear, a fully fitted modern kitchen is well appointed offering everything you desire while on holiday. The master en-suite bedroom has panoramic sea views, open the French doors and drift off to sleep to the sound of the surf or enjoy breakfast with a breath-taking view of the bay. The second room is a twin, located to the rear. This quiet comfortable space ensures a peaceful night’s sleep. The balcony of Aquamarine is accessible from either the lounge or the master bedroom, with a patio table and four chairs. As this is on the second floor, we recommend that children are always accompanied. Dine alfresco or enjoy drinks watching the sun set over St Ives. The balcony is directly above the communal garden from which a path leads down to the beach by a private gate, you can also access the South West coastal path. Alternatively catch the scenic train nearby into St Ives or connect to the main line to discover inspirational Cornwall.
Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside town of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the boutique hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branchline. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country.

There was literally everything you could need for a short break. The view from the lounge & bedroom is truly special & we really enjoyed listening to the sounds of the sea, especially at night. There were additional âtouchesâ that were greatly appreciated, including blankets for use on the balcony, the IPad (including bookmarks of local amenities) & the Tate membership card, which we made use of during a trip to nearby St Ives. The fact that the apartment is all on one level, & on the same level as the nearby parking, makes it a good choice for anyone who may struggle with mobility. The owner (John) checked in with us via e-mail during our stay (including to make recommendations for places to eat) which we greatly appreciated. We very much hope to return to Aquamarine in the future & to explore more of the Carbis Bay Area. Rebecca & Euan

Views are fantastic and convenient for train station. Also suitable for my father who is newly diagnosed with Parkinsonâs as the apartment is on one level from the car park. Our stay even though in February was a huge tonic as we had a very bad Xmas with illness.
