Guests have consistently praised Lighthouse View for its stunning location, exceptional cleanliness, and high level of comfort. The property boasts well-equipped facilities and thoughtful touches, such as a welcome bag and beach equipment. Its proximity to Carbis Bay Beach and convenient train access to St. Ives are frequently highlighted, alongside the beautiful views and homely feel.
The property is repeatedly described as immaculately clean, spotless, and well-maintained, with only a couple of minor mentions of areas needing attention. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the guests' positive experiences.
The location is highly praised for its stunning sea views, proximity to Carbis Bay Beach, and easy train access to St. Ives. Guests appreciate the central location for exploring Cornwall, the quietness of Carbis Bay, and the convenience of nearby amenities.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the property cosy, the beds extremely comfy, and the living spaces relaxing. The only minor drawback mentioned is the bed legs protruding in the main bedroom, which caused discomfort to a guest.
Facilities are generally excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen, smart TV, and additional amenities like books and games. However, there are some concerns about the stability of the shower tray and the need for maintenance in the bathroom, which slightly lowers the score.
Guests are delighted by the thoughtful extras, such as a welcome bag, beach chairs, and a well-prepared welcome manual. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

A short drive from St Ives, Carbis Bay is renowned for its stunning length of sugar-sand shoreline. Located on the north coast of the island, the beach features turquoise waters and sheltered circumstances that make it feel nearly tropical. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Center, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, why not rent a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead? The boutique hotel next door, which has a lovely patio where you can sip cocktails while taking in the view of the beach, offers spa days as an additional option. Small local businesses and eateries, such as Carbis Bay's fish & chip store and railroad branch, are all found in this seaside town. The railway ride from Carbis Bay to St. Ives, Cornwall, may be the most picturesque in the United Kingdom.

When we came to cook a meal there were no oven gloves and one cool evening we realised the central heating wasn't working, after a considerable time and using Google to work out how, we put some batteries in the thermostat, the first evening we realised that the bathroom sink was blocked so we bought a drain unblocker and cleaned it out. These are all problems which seem to be occurring since Carbis Bay Holidays were taken over and since we are no longer met by the house keeper. Our main problem came when it was the middle friday, we found a torn plastic sack on the door mat, but as the door opens outwards we had a problem moving it, on opening it we found bedding and towels that were damp and looked as if they had been screwed up for weeks. We took them to your local office where your representative said she was disgusted and she would get them changed. As we are renting Atlantic Blue again next year again for 3 weeks could you please let us and your staff know what is supposed to happen on the middle change over days, it should really be included in your terms and conditions.

Beautiful views from the property and within walking distance to trains, buses and the beach. The bed was very comfortable but there was a stain on the duvet cover which we only discovered when we moved the towels. The only thing we felt that let the property down was the bathroom as the shower was quite mouldy with cracked tiles and the shower tray seemed rather unstable.

The beds are very comfortable which is rare in Cornwall from experience, and the view to wake up to every morning from the main bedroom is exceptional, the facilities are excellent with a well equipped kitchen and comfy living room, WiFi and smart TV for watching films in the evening. The location is amazing with just a short walk to the beach, we did not want to leave and had the most wonderful holiday. The parking is right next to the property not in the main compass point car park which I think is better, it is tight, parking is in Carbis Bay but I managed to get my big Honda CRV in fine, you do have to hope the people next to you, park well though, I was lucky and we were all very respectful of each other. You are next to a wall so have to pull out to get others in the car and get in the boot, this might be an issue with younger children, the visitor spaces in the main car park (2) were always taken up by bigger cars that could not fit in their spaces.
