Cook up delicious meals in the kitchen to enjoy on the terrace as the sun sets, before settling down on the comfy sofas to a film by the glowing wood burner. Decorated with rustic wooden furniture and soft colours, the double bedrooms – one on the ground floor and the other four steps up – are perfectly appointed for a restful night after a day in the sea breeze. The integral garage is the perfect space to store boards and wetsuits after a morning surf.
Wander through the cobbled streets of St Ives and grab a pasty while you look out across the thriving harbour. There are plenty of independent shops and restaurants to explore, as well as The Tate and The Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden. Spend the day at a nearby beach, with plenty to choose from, or outdoor enthusiasts can embark on the rugged South West Coast Path. Further south lies Land’s End and the Minack Theatre, which hosts a whole programme of shows through the spring and summer.
