Guests say

The View in St Ives is a well-received holiday apartment, praised for its superb location, stunning views, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the proximity to Porthminster Beach and the town, as well as the thoughtful touches and cleanliness. While there are some minor maintenance issues and concerns about price increases, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Most guests found the apartment to be spotless and well-maintained, though there were isolated reports of cleaning issues such as a blocked sink and pet hair. The majority of feedback, however, commends the cleanliness, leading to a high score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to the beach and town centre. The convenience of the location contributes to the high score, despite some comments about uphill walks to parking.

Guests frequently mention the comfort of the apartment, including the beds and furnishings. There are positive remarks about the terrace and the homely feel of the property, contributing to a high comfort score.

The facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities like a spa pass. Some maintenance issues, such as a non-functioning recliner and noise from upstairs, slightly lower the score.

While there are mentions of thoughtful touches like welcome gifts and dog biscuits, these are not consistently referenced across the reviews. As such, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information.

A fabulous apartment with a short stroll to St. Ives Town Centre ... and even shorter to Porthminster Beach, which allowed our little dog to have fun before 10am and after 6pm, which suited us fine. Lovely touches at the apartment which were a big plus for us - the Bose speaker in the lounge, gorgeous Ritual reed sticks which smelled divine on entering the apartment, Tassimo coffee machine and really useful little baskets dotted in the bedroom and hallway for shoes and bits and bobs. Balcony furniture very comfy and the whole apartment was so well equipped we only ate out twice. We did go to the Harbour hotel to take advantage of the Pizza offer but were told not doing it that day. We still had lunch there and the food was lovely and we got our 20% off with the spa fob. Public transport was fabulous and surprisingly cheap, lots of regularly run buses to various places and the Open Top Lands End Coaster was a great trip. We also travelled to different places by train and it was all very easy on the Trainline app. A huge plus was the lockable parking space - although not directly by the apartment it was only up the road so no big issue for us.
