This quiet Cornish community is only 2.5 miles from the stunning north Cornish coast, which is home to some of the world's highest cliffs and most beautiful scenery. It's a great vacation home base for those who want to hike the South West Coastal Path, see the neighbouring Bodmin Moor, or just relax on the beach at nearby Trebarwith Strand. The picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac is just a short drive away, as is the bustling tourist hub of Tintagel, home to the fabled King Arthur's castle. Polzeath, meanwhile, is only nine miles away and features a beautiful surf beach. Just five minutes away lies Slaughtersbridge, the site of King Arthur's last fight, while farther north along the coast is the picturesque inlet of Crackington Haven. A place removed from the crush of tourists, but nevertheless conveniently close to a wide variety of attractions. The actual Delabole Quarry is nearby and offers a unique tourist experience with breathtaking vistas. Great hikes in the countryside can be accessed from here.

A gorgeous property, high standards of cleanliness and packed with everything you need. We used the BBQ a few times and again had everything needed. Addition of a hot tub was great and we used it every day. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality accommodation

Delabole is well located, has a fish & chip shop and a well stocked Spar shop but it’s a shame that the pub is closed. The ‘walk’ to the pub (had it been open) was up a very steep lane from the cottage. Even though it was only a kilometre the gradient was too much for some but there are some lovely pubs, with good food just a short drive away. The hot tub was very welcome after a day out exploring and we even managed a few BBQ’s with the gas bbq.

We were warmly welcomed by Debbie and reassured she was on call if needed. The venue is stunning. Thank you Sykes Cottages for organising a great place to stay
