Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Oak lodge for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and peaceful rural setting near Truro. The property is well-equipped, offering comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, and a welcome package. The location is central to Cornwall's attractions, and the lodge is dog-friendly with ample walking space. Michelle's hospitality is frequently commended.

Reviews generally indicate high standards of cleanliness, with the lodge being described as spotless and fresh. However, a few guests noted minor oversights, such as cobwebs and dust, which slightly detract from an otherwise excellent record.

The lodge's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to Truro and various Cornish attractions. Its central position makes it ideal for exploring both coasts and nearby towns.

Guests find the lodge very comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Some minor issues with squeaky floorboards were noted, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The lodge is well-appointed with modern facilities, including TVs and a fully equipped kitchen. Some guests suggested improvements such as fans for warm weather and mentioned the lack of items to light the firewood. The closed golf course was also noted, but the facilities generally meet guests' needs.

The thoughtful touches, such as welcome packages with tea, biscuits, and fudge, are greatly appreciated by guests. While these gestures are warmly received, it's important to note that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

Michelle came and welcomed us when we first arrived which was very kind We we’re very happy with our accommodations and for us able to get to all the places we wanted to visit thank you very much

The only slight snag was the loud squeaky floorboards. So every time someone walked anywhere in the property, there were loud creaks from the floor which meant we were disturbed if anyone got up in the night or moved around the lodge. If the creaky floor was solved then it would get 5 stars.

Parking right outside the property for at least Three cars , disabled facilities are excellent with wheelchair access all round inside and out ! A Dogs paradise with so many places for walkies without a lead ! A tip , do a food shop on line before you go down and get it delivered on day of arrival after 5 p.m. , you have to give further instructions for delivery in a box , unless you want to shop every couple of days ,ugh ! Take toilet rolls (1 supplied) , Bleach for Kitchen sink and toilets just to keep them fresh ! Yes I would give this property a 5 star rating , what I've written in this feedback is more in depth information for guests rather than the owner , enjoy !!
