I am 86 and found the stairs difficult and even dangerous as there is no handhold on the upper section. I could not occupy the downstairs bedroom as one of the family was awaiting a hip replacement so could not climb stairs at all. It would be a simple matter to fit a banister rail to the upper part of the stairs.

This year however, there where a few deteriorations as follows. The back kitchen door on to the patio has a non functioning handle, so both doors have to open as one.ed from the outside The french windows in the lounge appear not to work at all. The paint above all the windows in the bedrooms, most especially the mater, is flaking and peeling. There is a smell of drains from the utility, and downstairs shower room and bedroom. The washing line is extremely tangled and stretched, and doesnât rotate at all. However, it must be said that the house offers excellent general comfort and facilities, the garden was beautifully maintained, and the cleanliness of the house in general was excellent. Had I not stayed there so often before, I may not have even mentioned the things that need some attention, and apart from the back door, did not affect the holiday in general.
