About this property
Deep in leafy lanes 3½ miles from Honiton, tucked away at the end of a private tree-lined drive is The Old Log Shed. This striking cottage has been smartly converted from stables on this former farmstead. Two pairs of bi-fold doors bring the outside in and fill the cottage with light. The living space comprises a snug living room with a wood burning stove and a neat kitchen with granite worktops and dining area. On the first floor are two pretty bedrooms with lovely garden views a double, and a twin. Outside you have your own enclosed garden with a large level lawn, croquet and a swing, and a sun trap terrace with table, chairs and a barbecue. You are also welcome to use the owners all-weather tennis court. Why not head into Honiton and browse the antique shops or use the leisure centre and other town amenities. For outdoor activity, walk the Blackdown Hills and the River Otter valley, fish in the river or head to the seaside at Sidmouth. Exeter has cathedral city facilities aplenty. Smart, stylish and peaceful, this is a great base for exploring east Devon.
Honiton is a delightful market town in East Devon, with plenty to offer visitors. It lies in the valley of the River Otter and is surrounded by rolling Devon hills, green wooded valleys and plenty of scattered farming villages.
