Aylesbeare is the perfect getaway spot to explore the Devonshire coast and the Blackdown Hills which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The woodland village of West Hill is close-by with a well-stocked convenience store and is the pickup point for the local pizza van, whilst the town centre of Ottery St Mary is around two miles away.
